I was so excited when wordpress 2.8 release, and expecting new features and bug fixes and enchancement. So I grab to upgrade my wordpress from 2.7 to the said version. But disaster happened, General settings doesnt show its full menu and im unable to save changes like Blog Title and time zone has been disabled and the page was totally truncated. I read lots of support but no avail i couldn’t find the solution. Below the screen shots of the said 2.8 bug/issue:
Solution:
1. Go to your public html/you/wp-includes and open with your editor the file functions.php
2. Look for “ return apply_filters(‘timezone_support’,true); ” —-> line 3179
3. Change to ” return apply_filters(‘timezone_support’,false);
4. Save and get into Settings — General
5. BUG FIXED!!! Enjoy
